If you think this is ice-cream, you are so wrong. Find out what this really is after the jump. This is mechanically separated chicken used by all fast-food restaurants to make chicken nuggets and patties. It’s also used to make the processed frozen chicken you can find in grocery stores. This mass includes chicken’s bones, guts and all other parts, because the entire bird is smashed and pressed through a sieve to come out looking so pink and “ice-creamy”. There are bacteria inside the mechanically separated chicken, thus it is washed with a big dose of ammonia. You can imagine how gross the taste should be afterwards, but it’s not, because the chicken is reflavored later on and dyed with synthetic color.
This is the end result. Tastes good, hah?
