Shinjuku shopping Marui one

A lolita friend of mine from Holland, Danchelle arrived today in Shinjuku,

so of course we had to go shopping right away!

Any lolita girl has to visit Marui One in Shinjuku.

This department store is filled with gothic, lolita and punk brands.

My favorites are, Metamorphose and Angelic Pretty.

Angelic Pretty has a super cute interior. It is like a girls dream!

Gothic lolita shop Metamorphose in Kyoto

I went to the gothic lolita shop Metamorphose in Kyoto, to see their new collection.
It was a good way for me to decide what I should order for my shop in The Netherlands.

Normally you are not allowed to take pictures or video inside the lolita stores,
but they wanted to show the Metamorphose fans how their shop looks like trough me.

TV shoot Man Bijt hond and Camera Japan smell bar

So yesterday I had a super busy day, but it was a lot of fun!
Around noon I met up with my friend Bamba and the crew of Man bijt hond in Utrecht.
Cannot tell too much about it, but the subject was alternative fashion.
Of course I had to take a mirror shot of the two of us together.
Bamba looks so stylish!
I was wearing a dress by Baby the stars shine bright.
The broadcast of this show will be next week or the week after,
as soon as I get the call, I will make a new blog post!

As soon as we finished the TV shooting I rushed off to Rotterdam

for the Camera Japan film festival.

My friend Maki had her Smell bar over there and I helped with the experiments.

Tomorrow evening 6-10 the smell bar will be there again and I will join her again.

I wore a very old school gothic lolita outfit.

The skirt is by Victorian Maiden I think it is 4 years old, maybe older.

The headdress is also pretty old and it is by Moi-meme-moitie.

The bag is by Metamorphose and I got this from a friend in Japan about 6 years ago.

 

Camera Japan Festival and TV shooting

Tomorrow the annual Camera Japan film festival in Rotterdam starts!
Of course I will be going there again!

This year I'll be serving the guests of the Smell Bar #4 by Maki Ueda.

Maki will welcome you in a beautiful kimono and I'll be wearing gothic lolita.
I also will be there Sunday, but that is just to see some movies and make a video for Youtube.

Also tomorrow I'll be filming with a Dutch TV show it will be about "alternative fashion".
This is before Camera Japan so I have a busy day ahead!
The outfit I have planned to wear is pink x black lolita.

Specially for all these events my hair dresser Hikmet from Indola did my hair again.
Pretty red again! I really love Indola products! It makes my hair feel super soft and smooth!

Mfashion's lolita dream world fashion show in Holland

a fashion show at Summer Darkness festival.

The theme was 10 year, so in this show you will see the evolution of lolita in these years.

Cat ears hair style and make-up tutorial

One of the new trends in Japan is hair like cat ears.

It is a super cute and easy style!

Normally I am not a big fan of cat ears because they are considered

to be a part of cosplay.

Cosplay and lolita don't work together so that is why I have never worn cat ears before.

I think this is a very subtle look and also could work with a lolita outfit,

but I think you do at least must have something with a cat print on it with you,

so maybe a bag, necklace or dress.
But outside lolita it can go with any look!

Gyaru fashion picnic

A week ago I went with some friends to the Dutch Gyaru picnic.

Also other Japanese fashion styles were welcome, so that was very nice.

If you are not know with Gyaru here is a small explanation.
So what is Gyaru? 

Gyaru is a fashion style targeting girls and boys in the ages from 16 to mid twenties.

It is a look that is over the top girly and everything has to be perfect.

A lot of attention is paid to hair, body, fashion and face and a lot of tools are used to enhance beauty.

Wigs, Make-up, fake eyelashes and even colored contact lenses.

Within Gyaru there are a lot of different styles, but I'll try to explain those a different time.

I think it is because I love the brand Liz Lisa and they all are dressed in this brands style,

although they don't actually all wear the brand.

it because it looks so comfortable.
