Health Tips - F**k Calories FREE Ebook!

When I was in college, I was a World of Warcraft addict. I lived on cereal for breakfast and lunch and had fast food for dinner. I felt fat, horrible and just disgusting.

Then I chanced upon Krista Scott-Dixon's REALLY GREAT website called Stumptuous.com

Dr Krista is originally a PhD in Women's Studies but this bookworm turned fitness junkie is all about lifting weights and helping others get fit

One day she was SO FED UP of all the crap she's heard about fitness that she wrote 'Fuck Calories' a free Ebook for EVERYONE on how to live healthy, ignore the crap and trust me, follow this stuff and it'll set you down the right path to weight loss and overall health.

Here's some tips from her book. Paraphrased

1. Stop counting calories

2.  How you eat is more important than putting anything into your mouth

3. Please eat SLOWLY

4. Concentrate on JUST EATING. Don't do other stuff when you eat.

5. Ration portions. If you're a big sized person, eat from a big plate, smaller sized person, eat from a smaller plate.

6. Eat natural food, not highly processed junk

7. Please read food labels.

8. Buy the best food you can afford. Don't need to buy ultra fancy stuff, stuff you can afford!

9. Orange Juice is not really the same as eating an orange

10. Eat a rainbow of food - colorful foods are good for you.

Go get her Ebook. its AWESOME. AND FREE

Inspiration - From Flab to Fab - Shea Standefer

Shea Standefer, an avid Star Wars cosplayer did this very brave thing last week.
She decided to show a Before and After picture of herself.

Shea says:

"I have worked really hard in the last year to change my lifestyle by eating healthier and exercising on a regular basis. I would love to be one of those girls who is just naturally thin and can eat anything without ever exercising (who wouldn't?), but I simply don't have that kind of metabolism. That's me on the left a few years ago, at around 145 lbs and 5'4". I know I was by no means obese, and there are so many beautiful women out there of all sizes who rock all sorts of body types, but I was not comfortable in my body, and when you aren't comfortable in your own skin you will never feel attractive."

"I am now about 120 lbs, and living healthier just makes me feel sexier. Keeping the weight off will always be a challenge for me, because seriously, I could eat an entire pizza by myself, but I have some great people in my life who encourage and support my eating healthier and running. I am registered for my first half-marathon in January! Coming from someone who could barely run 1/4th of a mile a year ago, I am so proud of myself."

Mexico in Crisis Today, America in Crisis Tomorrow

According to the Public Broadcasting Station (affiliate: KQED) and the Mexican authorities an estimated 5,000 people have been killed in Mexico in the past year.

Kidnappings, public displays of carnage and executions are common place in areas where brave men and women speak out against the violent reign of the Cartels.

480 missing persons and kidnapping cases leave loving parents asking continually unanswered questions of the Mexican authorities.

A Cartel televised informant described a complete lack of any code of conduct in any of his experiences. He stated that Tijuana was the central focus of the Cartels for the drug trade, and launching point into the US.

The President of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, was reported to say he saw "no escape" from a tail-spin into a corrupt culture of violence and drug lords in years to come.

The notion that the state of Mexican-national affairs will not ultimately effect American-national affairs is not supported by facts.

The likelihood of these events in Mexico between 2007 and 2008 effecting America in a highly negative fashion in years to come becomes more likely under any system that precludes the importance of action.

The danger posed by the Cartels and other violent organizations established in Mexico should be at the highest of priorities of border-state governors and all applicable agencies charged to such matters in our government.
